ANALOG MEMORY MEETS DIGITAL NOISE

Connection Pending explores the fragmented nature of modern visual culture. By combining degraded analog imagery, archival stock footage and AI-generated sequences, the piece creates a continuous dialogue between historical media and today’s algorithmic image production.

Inspired by artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray, the work embraces coincidence, collage and visual disruption rather than polished perfection.

Displayed on Pukkelpop’s monumental videowall, these fractured visuals became part of the festival atmosphere, experienced by thousands of visitors throughout the weekend.

About the Pukkelpop Video wall.

The Pukkelpop Videowall is one of the festival’s most immersive visual installations, featuring large-scale projections that accompany the event with continuously evolving digital artworks.

For the 2025 edition, projections were produced by Beam Inc. and the program was curated by Wim Gombeer, bringing together 22 artists working across video art, motion design and experimental media.

Presenting Connection Pending in this environment offered the opportunity to translate intimate experimental imagery into a monumental public experience.

FROM STUDIO TO FESTIVAL

Developed in our Hasselt studio, Connection Pending was created using a hybrid workflow that combines analog video processing, digital compositing and AI-assisted image generation.

Rather than hiding the imperfections of obsolete technology, the work celebrates signal loss, distortion and visual decay as expressive elements. Every projection evolves through layering, feedback and unexpected interactions between old and new media.

BRING EXPERIMENTAL VISUALS TO YOUR EVENT

Whether it’s a festival, exhibition, concert or public space, Superview TV creates immersive visual experiences using analog video synthesis and custom projection design.
